“I don’t think our death ray is working. I’m standing right in it, and I’m not dead yet.” Resby stated plainly standing in the middle of the death ray, as it was turned on.
“Hm yes. It seems i’ve calibrated something incorrectly. Hang on.” Scilence pressed a few buttons and then the laser blasted right through Resby obliterating him to smoke, destroying the wall in the process.
“HAHAH! YES! IT WORKED!!” Scilence yelled in acomplishment waving his arms above his head. Resby was dead, now all they had to do, was wait.
Flowey groaned as he watched these two knuckle heads kill eachother. He supposed it was amusing seeing their efforts. So to humour them, he reset the timeline.
Resby woke up slowely, his whole body hurt like crazy. He checked his clock, it was 2 days before the death ray was built. And he remembered everything, how painfull it was, how bright it was. He was sure that Scil would be thrilled to find out it had worked. Groaning he got out of bed, and started getting ready for the day.
After making breakfast, he woke up Scil. “Mhh, what?” Scil asked groggily .
“It worked. We triggered a reset with my death and i still remember everything.” Scil jumped up with excitement.
“By Angel! This is incredible!” Scil ran a hand over his skull in bewilderment.
“Yup.” Resby smiled a bit, the pain was had gone away and he felt normal again. “Made breakfast if you want any.”
“This is incredible, we now know that for some reason the anomaly wants you alive. Ehheheeh! i’m giddy with excitment!” Scil got up and quickly started getting dressed, as he rambled about the impact of this new discovery. Resby just nodded and listened intensely, as they walked to the kitchen and started grabbing some plates.
“So. We know the anomaly is that flower, we know you can rememebr his meddling with the timeline, he hasn’t reset to before the barrier broke in months so we know he wants to keep everyone free. And we now know he wants you alive for some reason.” Scilence paused looking up at Resby with an energetic look in his eyes. “How exciting is that?”
“Yes. Very exciting.” Resby mostly deadpan but with a tinge of amusement said in response. To any normal monster this would be an insane conversation, good thing they weren’t any normal monsters.
“So? What do you think we should try next? Should we continue killing you to see if he’ll reset again? Or should we take this as a win and move on to something else?” Scil looked at Res carefully.
Resby sighed. “I would prefer not to have to die again.”
“Point taken! We shall move on to phase two! Figuring out how to get my- Portals operational in testing phase. We need to be sure they wont just obliterate me if i go inside. As much as you don’t wish to die, you’d be fine being a lab rat for that, yes?” Scil raised his bone brow, inquiring Resbys next move.
Resby pinched his non existent nose. “I suppose. . “ He started slowly. “If we know he will reset me back i don’t mind.”
“Yippie!! Oh this will be so much fun!” Scil clasped his hands together and rubbed them with a mischievous grin on his face. Oh how nothing could ruin this day for him.
