Susan couldn’t find her walkie-talkie anywhere. It was quite the accomplishment to lose something the size of a whole person, she thought as she rummaged through her cell. After several fruitless minutes, she gave a frustrated huff. Hands on her hips, she scanned the room once more. She’d need help. 

The giantess turned back toward the yard, mentally retracing all her steps since she got back to base the evening prior. 

Link knuckled his way through the base, making his way to the control room, where no doubt Doc would be. It was nice, after decades of being a prisoner, running the very joint he was locked up in. Everyone here answered to him now. Well, not everyone. Dr. C was the head honcho, not him.

Still, it was good to have power, freedom, respect, all the things he never had before. All the rights that a monster didn't deserve. Well, the shoe was certainly on the other foot now. 

The door before him drew upwards with a hiss, revealing the mastermind himself. 

❝ have you tried wiring the cable through the receiving end? that might actually yield the best result! ❞ he was practically bouncing on the balls of his feet, eyes fixed on what the doctor was working on. ❝ it looks like it’s coming along quite nicely. ❞

Hermes raised a brow, his tail tip swaying beside him, turning his head toward the other, blinking slowly. "Uh-, I w.. was b.. born. L.. like t.. this." He mumbled quietly, tilting his head slightly, not feeling anxious about talking to an animal like being, his one eye looked the scientist up and down with his one eye, not in a rude way, but reading him.

THEY’RE A 10 BUT …

"Here we go again. You've been on my tail for this for like over forty years now! Sheesh, man! You see how big these lips and teeth of mine are? Even if I did keep them quiet, you'd still hear it and complain!"

"Nah, no mission today. Just wanted to come in and check on ya. You've been couped up in here all day long after all." No doubt working away on another crazed invention.
