For the past twenty minutes, Madison fidgeted as she watched Shockwave continue with his work. The entire time, The Question roiled in her brain. She hadn’t asked it of any Decepticon since one of the honest conversations she and Soundwave have gotten into. The emotions and reactions it brewed alarmed her enough to keep her from asking it of anyone else.
But Shockwave was different from a standard Decepticon. For one thing, he appeared to be the only being in the entire universe that naturally blocked out her abilities. Madison never even saw the stoic mech display emotions or moods the way other Cybertronians did.
She really hoped it wasn’t the same repression that caused Soundwave to short out when he finally registered the amount of manipulation and emotional abuse he suffered as second-in-command of this disaster.
Before she could have second thoughts, the psychic spoke up, “I’m sorry for bothering you, but this has been bugging me since I met you. Why do you still work for the Decepticons?”
