Using Only Water Bottles And An Ice Cube, You Can Create Something That’s Practically Magic.

In this experiment, Grant Thompson shows that you only need water bottles, ice cubes, and a little bit of patience to create something truly unbelievable.

Simple house hold science trick: Orange Candle

All you need is;

Orange

Knife

Kitchen Oil (Olive oil, vegetable oil, etc.)

Method:

Carefully cut the orange in half, be careful to ensure you do not cut the middle stem. Remove/eat the flesh, but save half of the skin (or all of it) with the stem intact - as shown in the second picture.

Fill it up about half way with the oil, as you're pouring the oil in make sure you soak the stem on the way down.

light the stem on fire and it will keep burning for a while to come!

Simple House Hold Science Trick: Hovercraft

You will need:

A CD/DVD

A balloon

A cap from a water bottle.

Hot glue and/or sellotape

Method:

Cover the hole in the CD/DVD with tape, and poke 5 or 6 holes in it with a pin or small nail.

glue (or tape) the bottle cap over the centre of the CD/DVD, make sure it is air tight.

Blow up the balloon and, without tying it, place it over the bottle cap. make sure the bottle cap is closed.

Simple House Hold Science Trick: Glowing Water

This one's really simple, All you need;

 A black light (UV lamp) - You can find this from places like walmart, hardware stores, or you can order it online, here.

Highligher pen

Regular or Tonic Water

Now simply break open the highlighter and remove the felt and soak it in water for a few minutes. If you're using Tonic water you can skip this step, you will not need the highlighter.

Find a dark room and place the water infront of the UV lamp.
