okay so some idiot decided to collect the eggs from beneath the hen trying to hATCH THEM and put them UNLABELED with the rest of the normal cooking eggs and this is by far the largest embryo I’ve cracked open. sigh.

oh nice!! I can talk about it a little more openly now that I'm in a new lab because my research area is a bit less niche lol so it has a lower chance of doxxing me completely. my new lab does gut microbiome research, primarily in mice though sometimes we get human samples from collaborators. broadly we look at dysbiosis though I feel like that's kind of implied by gut microbiome research, but there are several different disease states we look at. I'm also still kinda new (it's been almost a year but my life keeps getting hit with chaos) so I feel like I still need to get situated intellectually in how all our projects work together.
