even though they get on my NERVES

but i'm teaching 102 students in total this year, and im looking to get those kids holiday treats/toys. ive made it a goal to have everything be winter/cold themed instead of christmas so everyone can be included

this is what my cart looks like:

the fossil stuff is for when we get to our next unit and so the kids can have a hands on piece to do.

I'm mainly doing this because our community based org had their budget cut, so where we usually could get students treats, a party AND presents, this year we can only afford a party

Hey all! For once I’m not making a donation post that’s urgent! After taking a while off of school, I’m heading back to higher education. I’m taking it easy and starting with only one class starting this Fall. While everyone, including my therapist, thinks this is a good idea, I’ve run into a problem. Most forms of financial aid are only available to students who are at least part-time. By taking only one class, I’m not part-time. This means I’m not eligible for financial aid. 

My class costs a grand total of $279 and my textbook costs about $96 and some change. Plus there are miscellaneous school supplies to buy. I’d guesstimate that I’d need about $400 in all. A portion of this I can probably get from family, but I need help filling in most of it.

Is your school short of funds to buy equipment or to conduct related school activities? Plan some funding for schools activities to get money in the form of donations. Plan a strategic fundraising event to get a continuous inflow of money to begin scholarship programs or to maintain academic and sports excellence. Fundraising allows the school to launch after-school activities and additional educational programs. Children that participate in fundraising events gain knowledge, leadership qualities, creativity, and confidence and understand the importance of community.

Dog walks: Organize dog walks and set a distance to walk them and raise money for the school. This event is both fun and raises responsibility Fashion show: Turn your gym or football field into a runway and sell tickets to see the participants’ catwalk in their best wear.

Babysitting: Parents love to have a night out and relax. So give them a break and let school seniors take over babysitting duties.

Talent show: Some students have innate talents like music and dance or magic which can be showcased in the school. Sell tickets for the show and encourage students at the same time.

Carol singing: organize a carol singing show with elementary school kids as it is hard to resist the cute children performing on stage.

Sell lemonade: it may sound like an old activity but selling lemonade is a classic way to attract donations. Select a garden or play area near your school and put up a lemonade stand.

Quiz competition: Make a small quiz competition and set entrance fee for it. Make some more money by selling popcorn or refreshments on the side for the crowd.

Clean-up: Organize a clean-up in your community to raise money and spread awareness on the environment at the same time. A lot of people will support this event.
