After a productive day and nice workout at the gym a beer is much needed. What better way than to pull out the Shmaltz brewing RIPA on rye aged in rye whiskey barrels specifically Jim Beam barrels. Now I haven't gone Jim Beam a solid chance when it comes to their whiskey except Knobs Creek which I reccomend. But this strongly forcing me to reconsider, strong delicious whiskey aromas escape the glass. First sip very solid blend, quite smooth that even the non hop fanatic might enjoy. Hops used are warrior, cascade, simcow ( starting to know this one very well), crystal, Chinook, Amarillo and centennial.Also dry hopped with simcow, Amarillo and crystal. Very solid its the first I've heard of this brewery. I highly encourage you try it.
