   These  events  were  always  such  a  pain  ,  at  least  for  those  in  the  Pomefiore  dorm.  This  was  namely  due  to  the  fact  that  they  were  the  final  check  to  ensure  everyone  was  in  order  as  they  should  be  ,  with  proper  attire.  That  didn’t  mean  they  were  oblivious  to  other  matters  ,  or  at  least  the  dorm  head  certainly  wasn’t.

   “  You  don’t  appear  to  be  enjoying  yourself  ,  Silver.  “  Vil  came  to  a  halt  in  his  business  beside  the  other  student  ,  head  tilted  to one  side.  “  I  know  this  sort  of  thing  isn’t  everyone’s  cup  of  tea  ,  but  smile  and  endure  it.  The  Headmaster  said  this  was  supposed  to  be  fun  and  to  help  increase  the  school’s  connections  further.  It  shouldn’t  be  long  till  the  meal  and  then  guests  leaving.  “

How much trouble such a simple thing could cause… He mused as he watched Trey remove the body with detached expression, chin resting on his hand. The poor fool had it coming of course, it had taken but a simple bit of magic to track down the fool who had dared plant white rose bushes in his garden.

The magic being over the top was beside the point, it was far more appropriate for the culprit to be drawn back to the bush, prick himself on the beauties and then leave a trail to follow because the blood would not stem. It was only appropriate, as his blood would be what returned the roses to their appropriate splendour.

He knew the others didn't understand, didn't approve, thought he was overreacting— He silenced them with a cold glare, despite that none of them had dared open their mouths in the first place. So very unlike Alice, who spoke her mind even though she knew nothing.

The red rose was their symbol, of power, of royalty— Naturally their opponents had claimed the same for their own symbol, but the white rose despite being beautiful, could not hold a candle to its red counterpart. To plant white roses was to declare their opponent of equal standing, regardless of whether their bloodline still lived. The house of York would never be treated equal to the house of Lancaster, and so no white rose would ever bloom in his garden, regardless of the fact he personally thought they were pretty.

In a way, he didn't mind as much as the others may think— After all, they gained just that little extra something when freshly painted… That little something vicious, something tainted.

He found he rather liked it that way.

Eyes drifted over to the offending bush, where Cater had already collected some material to work with, the correct spells casted so it would remain bright and fresh, and began to paint.

Malleus' fingers played around the spindle of his staff, the thing entirely encumbering and unnecessary yet he liked it, it had that extra bit of intimidation factor he didn't need yet enjoyed nonetheless. The corpse was still cooling before them as the fae eyed it, not appearing bothered at all by the body or the blood that coated his companion. On the contrary, eyes slid to the side to observe the other, he rather liked the sight.

"No, you did well, Silver." He answered, finally turning away from the scene. Green flames erupted suddenly and encompassed the corpse, not burning yet making it and the blood vanish. He could play with it later, or perhaps use it as another warning, since clearly the newer crop of students needed to realise who was in charge.

Long fingers reached out then, cupping Silver's cheek and wiping a drop of blood from the skin, eyes aglow with amusement and curiosity as he retreated the hand and licked the drop from his hand. He did so love watching people's reaction to such things.
