Just a heads up, that bit on the wiki about "pink and red robes" is not from ancestor cell, so idk where they sourced that info from, but in searching instances of "pink" "scendeles" "robes" and "ceremonial" in ancestor cell produces no results of that, pink only ever referring to skin/flesh, scendeles only shows up once in the bit where they're discussing the fact they went bankrupt, the only color mentioned in conjunction with robes are the white presidential ones
wtf is going on at tardis dot wiki??? Did someone just nab pink out of thin air??? Are the Scendeles colours being confused with the Patrex heliotrope??? Is the only way to find out this information to go through every single fuckign VNA and EDA??? Is it even POSSIBLE to know the Scendeles colours??? Have we fallen into a purgatory-esque timeline between the Scendeles and Scendles universe where everything is in impossible flux???

I have a question about the Scendeles chapter because Iām super confused?? What are its colors? TARDIS wiki states that itās ālight pink to a darker shade of redā but everywhere else Iāve checked uses brown/beige???

And these are both from the Ancestor Cell even!!!! Fanon strikes yet again in yet another place it shouldnāt. Okay so my educated guess about what happened is thus: severalĀ years ago someone decided to make a headcanon/aesthetic post about the Scendeles chapter without having read The Ancestor Cell. Instead they hopped right on TARDIS dot wiki, searched up Scendeles, and found the page in the second screenshot. They then made an inference about whatĀ āsubduedā means without doing any extra research (like at minimum going to the general Chapter page), and figuredĀ āhm I think bronze is a good subdued colour, maybe with gold highlights?ā and smacked that Post button.
Since the Cerulean/Dromeian/Scendeles chapters count as obscure knowledge, a good mass of people (myself included) learnt about the chapters from Tumblr instead of picking up the initial facts from The Deadly AssassinĀ and the bulk from The Ancestor Cell, Lungbarrow,Ā et al. This isnāt a bad thing, and is how many many people are introduced to the EU as a whole, except for the blatant Scendeles misinformation running rampant on this website and infecting young, impressionable minds.
From that first fan post, people making other Chapter posts would probably try and find more scraps of canon from the individual Chapter wiki pages, roll onto Scendeles and findĀ āsubduedā with nothing else, and keep rolling with bronze/tan/brown. Hell, if you searchĀ āScendelesā on google images over half the relevant results use the wrong colours, and if you look up fuckignĀ āScendlesā allĀ of them are. Thereās even a Roblox guy wearing incorrect Scendeles getup.
To be fair, in The Deadly AssassinĀ and some other Classic Who episodes on Gallifrey, some people sport yellowish/tan robes that donāt seem to fit in with the other Chaptersā designated colours. However, we also all assume everyoneās ceremonial robes are identical, like uniforms, and not more akin to a fancy dress or suit you bought to wear to the symphony, like I think theyāre meant to be.
Still tho. My dear anon, youāre doing some great work out here, uncovering the Truth. Iām actually THRILLED Scendeles get pinky red and not fuckign tan or bronze
