kind of sad how much water this item still holds.
i'm not sure you can actually pick up bankruptcy forms at a bank...pretty sure you either get them from a federal court building, or from somewhere on the Federal courts website. however, since the banks did more to put the country in this bind than the bankruptcy court did...it's only fair that this ridulousness transpires in a bank, and not a courthouse.
202. Rape Stove: The Stove That Rapes. [4 points]
some scav hunt items bring the wrong. this item, from 2009, brings the wrong. however, it also brings creepily talking appliances, and the world needs more creepily talking appliances.
i had forgotten what this was a reference to, in the ensuing years...apparently, it's a reference to a really terrible movie from the seventies called Death Bed: The Bed That Eats.
though, in researching that, i also found out that Patton Oswalt (yes, the same comedian whose tweet i posted yesterday) has made Rape Stove: The Stove That Rapes jokes. what i can't verify, however, is whether those jokes preceded this scav hunt item, or followed it in time.
if the scav item came first, though, one must wonder whether he gets some of his comedic content off our ridiculous little lists. :-)

from the rules section of the 2009 Scav Hunt list. i can't recall if i saw and forgot it, or if this was actually the first time i saw it. however, as a child of the nineties (specifically, one who spent most of it listening to post-grunge and grunge...), this little rule makes me happy.
