Blue eyes watch passers-by walk past, before blinking and directing their attention to a couple of elderly women talking about them again: goat gods. Kresniqe makes a face at their conversation, displeasure obvious in his face. It’s not like he cares about what the people in this island worship. Though a clergyman himself, the last thing Kresniqe cares about in people is where they lie their faith. Kresniqe wouldn’t have cared about Dragon Followers if they weren’t causing so much havoc all over the place, but that’s hardly the point.
He’s known it the moment he stepped into the town---that he’s nowhere near Lotus Marsh or Saint Haven or anywhere in Altera at all. It’s...far too unfamiliar. The cold dread he felt after was horrible. He’s slowly dying, and now he’s somewhere unknown, and it doesn’t sit well in him. That---that is what caused the displeasure in Kresniqe’s face, and he forces himself to look straight ahead him instead.
『 if those goat gods are real, 』he says, slowly, though he seems unaware of what he’s saying,『 it would be real nice if they could put me back in lotus marsh, and probably cure me as a bonus. 』Then, he blinks, and he sighs, sinking into the bench he’s sitting in. He probably looks tired.『 i just committed something unforgivable against the goddess. 』
