Touchy-Feely (Maybe)
Anonymous asked: “Hey, I was wondering if you had any prompts where one character gets kind of anxious when it comes to physical touch but really wants to cuddle/hold hands/kiss/etc? Thank you so much :)”
1. Their hand dangled just inches away. Centimeters, really. It would be so, so easy... For anyone else.
2. It’s easier in the winter. They can edge closer, under the guise of seeking out body heat, and no one is the wiser. Unfortunately, Summer will be here all too soon.
3. They know about my past. They know I’m scared of touch, and they’re trying to respect that. I appreciate it, but with them, I just know it would be okay.
4. Their lips hovered over mine, and I silently pleaded with them to close the gap. I know I never could.
5. A chill filled the room, and they instinctively put an arm around their partner, before hesitating. “I’m sorry. I know you don’t like this sort of thing.” The response that came was brittle, but sure. “It’s okay. Please don’t let go.”
6. They loved the feeling of being held; of lips brushing their forehead, and a hand clasping their own. The problem was, every time they opened their mouth, all they could think about was what happened before, and requests for touch died on their lips.
7. “I love you. You don’t have to do anything you aren’t comfortable with.”
“Thank you. Honestly, thank you. But I... I want to... Can I hold your hand?” They couldn’t breathe, the words lingering in the air, mocking them. This was ridiculous. What were they thinking?
“Of course you can.”
~This is my catnip, honestly. Well, one of my catnips. I hope these help!~
