In a world quickly moving towards the digitization of every document, mobile Scanner App remain the necessary tools, as some organizations cling to using printed paper documents. Things like government and hospital forms still tend to be printed on paper, and we can not forget business cards. Because not everything has moved to digital media and the most productive solution is simply to quickly transform any paper you are handed into data and digital copies, which you can store and edit on your computer and mobile devices.  

We create a remarkable amount of information software documentation, digitally—spreadsheets, receipts, financial records, even the baby's first Photoshop image and that is just the beginning of what for most people is a gargantuan data mountain. If you need to capture that data or images for posterity, or at least for your tax records, you probably need a scanner app for quick scanning  Your first thought might be to purchase a standalone scanner or choose an all-in-one or multifunction printer that includes a scan and fax features. That makes sense when the workload is very heavy, concerns the material and frequent that can be easily passed through a printer's feed mechanisms (primarily separate, letter-sized pages). High-End scanners give you precise control over image correction, image resolution, and optical character recognition, usually along with a fast paper feeding mechanism. That is appropriate if you have a 2-foot stack of important legal proceedings to turn into text for analysis or you were given five banker's boxes of family slides to import into an online photo album.

That said, however, it is hard to make a bad choice in this category, because of even the free version scan images accurately and quickly. It is important to match up your needs to the right app, however, because each puts more emphasis on one or another feature.

Beyond Images Capture

With each app, we scanned text in various forms, such as recipes printed in Courier, prose from an open book, restaurant receipts, a restaurant menu, and business cards,. We also evaluated how the apps managed handwritten photos, pages, signatures and a crumpled newspaper story with a photo. We did scans in low light. We considered the quality of the OCR, the file formats supported, and the options for saving all documents.
