"every subspecies that goes by the title of 'twice stabbed ladybeetle' has a legend that talks about scaled creatures that can attack and almost destroy a full village. What exactly these creatures are in the modern day however is up for debate with each subspecies having a different interpretation of them. Once such interpretation is that the scaled creatures were a horde of Ensifera longispinus. these small creatures have razor sharp bills that can pierce through most armor. They use it to drink blood that they then use to lay there eggs. One of these critters is easy to handle, but in large groups they can be deadly." -Addo
