This is a myth. As per research, a bed rest of about 24 hours leads to a lower rate of success as compared to the women who had continued their routine activities. Hence, doctors recommend that there is no need to keep patients at bed rest after a transfer. They can instantly get back to their routine as the same helps in getting the normal blood flow and to avoid any fluctuations in the heart rate.

Contrary to a popular myth, the pill has no negative impact on fertility. However, it is easy to understand why there are myths about birth control pills causing infertility as some women experience a delay in resuming ovulation and menses following prolonged birth control use. For some women it may take months after stopping birth control for their menses to return.

Talking about the risk of babies born with defects and malformations can happen with anyone among the world population. It can’t be selectively associated with IVF babies, because the absolute risk of delivering an IVF baby with malformations is low.  The risk of anomalous foetus in spontaneous of IVF babies is the same as in general population.

It is true that many women who have PCOS are overweight or obese. And it's also true that obesity can make PCOS symptoms worse. However, PCOS does not discriminate and can affect women of all shapes and sizes. The relationship between weight and PCOS has to do with the body's inability to use insulin properly, which can lead to weight gain. That's why getting into the habit of eating healthy and exercising regularly is recommended as part of most women's treatment plan.
