Today over lunch, my coworker and I were talking about dress designs and fabric choices. She reminded me that I have this really pretty fabric and suggested I make a dress or a skirt from it. Since I am limited in my options (due to the fact that it's a cotton fabric meant for quilting and/or home use and not really made for apparel, and since I only bought one yard of it), I thought about pairing it with something else. This idea popped into my head, so I sketched it out. I think a pastel yellow chiffon over a matching satin will work nicely for the skirt portion.
