Finally got to check out @junko.playtime’s sculpture “Phobia”, a reclaimed materials creation resembling a giant spider located where Victoria Drive passes over the Central Valley Greenway. I just had to get a gander at it before Vancouver’s shortsighted, and easily swayed by pearl-clutchers, council finally gets rid of it - because it’s a giant spider, of course! And yet the eyesore that is the DTES remains relatively unaddressed.
