If you're not already, try doing crunches and push-ups to build up your core during an after-running cool down. Also, do you have somewhere nearby you could lift weights?
It'll probably have to be sit ups and crunches in my room because I don't have time to go to the gym on a regular basis. And I'm really not just saying that because I'm not trying hard enough, I have a two hour commute and a job that has decided all my time belongs to them and will work overtime without any prior notice even though they won't pay me for it.
Which is why I'm trying to get into a better situation and claim part of my life back.
