also i dont want to skip over this: the scene between milchick and natalie almost made me cry oh my god. it really forces you to confront the reality of like. yes. this guy is essentially a prison guard for the severed floor and he commits all the expected abuses that come with that but. at the end of the day he's STILL not the one wearing the boot. not really. he's under it, too. he aches for some kind of genuine connection between people he can intrinsically relate to, and in a field that has sooo historically been forced into being "not made" for black people, he desperately reaches for natalie and she is helpless. they are both trapped in such a heinous and cruel way that they aren't even allowed to truly see each other or acknowledge the racism at play within the company. natalie's fearful smiles we've gotten to see in the past few eps are HORRIFYING. without saying anything, she so viscerally displays that she is in hell. I'm so glad that they revisited the paintings and didn't just leave it at what it was.
