I love this show so much... the variety of gems we’ve met on homeworld already is amazing! We’ve like, immediately met and seen a whole variety of them who don’t fit the doctrines of their Diamonds. And even that varies: but be it blue Zircon willing to defy her post for the truth (for a gem she still thinks is a traitor), Topaz(plural) quietly carrying on and trying to hide in plain sight out of necessity, or all the off-colors who live in constant danger of discovery: I think it’s safe to say we’ve found far more gems who are harmed by Homeworld’s policies than benefit from them. It’s far from a uniform ‘cartoon antagonist’ planet and I love it.
