This is a fantastic day - There’s not a whole lot that can bring Mario more joy than a) spending time with people he loves, and b) eating. Combining them makes for a fun outing. 

 . . . Until he watches Peppino eat his ice cream, stick and all.

---- Congratulations, Peppino! You won! Using ‘won’ in a relative sense, of course... because the upcoming events were far from anything to celebrate. Out of the oven pops the horribly compressed JPG of Mr. Trilogy’s face, making static-like hell noises as the whole world seems to bass boost around him. Only after that horrific display does he speak up.

in all honesty,  he doesn’t think too much of it when it comes to the substances he’s covered in. no, what his mind zeroes in on is the fact that peppino is here at his doorstep, at the lovely rose town inn, dripping dubious goo all over the place —— all over gaz’s mother’s clean floor. oh, geno knows she’s going to be fit to be tied, but for the time being, all he can do is stare incredulously.
