minhee finds her gaze drifting over to the other every so often as they both apply their makeup. she wasn't blind and could easily admit that they other was beautiful. she almost frowns as she finds herself comparing their looks. it's a nasty habit she's trying to get out of so instead she turns to the other. "how do you always get your makeup to look so flawless? please teach me." if her words didn't work, minhee wasn't afraid to whip out the puppy dog eyes.

"do you always have to touch everything?" noa lets out a sigh as they reach over and pluck the haunted doll from the other's grasp. she sets it back on the miniature wooden chair before turning attention towards the other. "very haunted. very much likes her space. plus, we're just here to grab my purse. that's it." noa had somehow managed to slip out the door on their way out without it. it's not very surprising given how easily things seem to slip her mind. even more so these days.

"final words. i figured i should at least be kind enough to give you that." but is it a kindness that she can really afford right now, knowing this'll be the last time she'll look at aerin's eyes wide open? they've never seen eye-to-eye at the best of times but she's discovered a shared unspoken camaraderie between them that she knows will transform in a void the moment life leaves the other. the edge of her knife finally breaks skin but not enough to slice through anything vital — merely a warning and reminder that aurora holds the power at present. "payment for your head will at least be enough to sustain me for a few months."

sophie giggled softly and nodded, "i mean, why not both?" she smirked softly before she stepped closer to them. she wasn't exactly the bold type but she did like to keep people on their toes, "whatcha think? both sound good to you?" she asked with a little bit of her signature puppy dog eyes.

"yeah, why not?" seren knew that she perhaps wasn't being the most subtle in her advances but did she really have to be? some people enjoyed when someone was actively pursuing them and so that was the road she was going down with aerin. thankfully it seemed to be working well enough. "me? forward?" she laughed as if it was a preposterous idea, shaking her head even if they both obviously knew otherwise by this point. she stood up and took a hold of the other woman's hand, easily following alongside her. "we've been spending time together, isn't it about time i see your place?"

Avery rose with her, ready to steady her if she swayed too far, though he kept his hands to himself until she gave him any indication she wanted help. "You don't need to apologize," he said softly. "I think we've all had nights where the universe decides to pile on at once." He briefly glanced to the jagged piece of key still stuck in the lock, then back to her face. She was trying to pull herself together, but he could still see the glassiness in her eyes, the way her breathing hitched every so often like she hadn't finished crying. "I've got the landlord's number somewhere, yeah. I can call him for you, if you'd like. Or..." They hesitated for a moment, not wanting to overstep. "If you'd rather sit down for a bit and have some water, I've got plenty inside. No pressure, though, of course. Just until we figure out the lock situation." They offered their new neighbor a faint, reassuring smile. "Up to you."
