sasuten prompt: broken swords and birds of fire.

this is a sasuten little roadmap (?) for my own self indulgence.

i will probably do a part two. i can only feel or write them as being one big ass slowburn. specially on sasuke's part, lol. it would be nice if someday i could do a proper fic for them. anyways, here are my crumbs.

Pulling them into a tight hug.

One might think a union between the infamous Sasuke Uchiha and Tenten won't work. That they're too different to be considered a pair. But it's because of that, the two of them have found a love that they can each enjoy. Their language spoke loudly, through hugs.

A hug for Sasuke, when he's suffering from nightmares and flashbacks in his sleep.

A hug for Tenten, when she finally gets to move up in the world and to be taken more seriously as a shinobi.

Whenever they shared a tight embrace, it was their language showing itself for the world to witness.

Wrapping a blanket around their shoulders from behind.

Sometimes, it's the little things in life, that we treasure the most. Tenten learned that well after a year of marriage to Sasuke Uchiha.

Whether it was the silent smiles shared between lovers. Whether it was their walks through the village together. Or even when they were sparring one another, just for the hell of it. All of those things were precious in her mind and heart.

So she sat by the fireplace, gently rubbing her pregnant stomach, when Sasuke came from behind to wrap a blanket around her. The soft crackling of the embers made the night feel extra warm and cozy. She smiled and scooted closer to him as he joined her.

"I love you." She told her husband.

Finding Peace/An End to the War

Sasuke never imagined his life would turn out the way that it did, but if you ask him: Would you do it all over again? What do you think he'll say?

His life was filled with sorrow, anger, and depression. His world was shattered by his older brother's hands. The home- what was supposed to be his home was nothing but a corrupted lie. So what does a person in his shoes do?

Should he rebel and risk it all on a great of revolution? Or should he just accept his fate and try to do right? Well, he does both actually.

He fought hard for the corruption to end in Konohagakure. It was him verses an entire village, but with his work and with time, he achieved his goal. The village yielded, and the justice he sought for all his fallen kin was avenged at last. There were a lot of major changes, even his peers couldn't help but be impressed by his tenacity.

And one would think: he's going to be alone for the rest of his life...

Well, he stunned everyone once again, when he took Tenten as his wife. No one not even his teammates, saw the match coming. Sasuke was always private with his personal affairs and Tenten could respect that. They were married in the summer. Despite his intimidating and cold demure, Sasuke was all in all a good husband to Tenten.

Right now, the couple were enjoying some quiet time as the sun began to go down. It was one of their own little rituals. His arm wrapped around his wife's waist in a loving embrace, while Tenten rested on his shoulder.

However, I had low self-esteem (which I still have) and it was impossible for me to think that a guy like him could have any interest in me. Hours later, when I was tired as hell, he found me holding my broom handle (it was a supposed weapon haha) and asked me if he could use it. "As you wish", I said. So, this awesome-Sasuke-cosplayer did some cool movements and I melted one more time. He gave me back my supposed weapon and gone.

Close to the end of the event, I found him and took one more pic. He was closer than before. And... It was this. A teenage crush, a supposed SasuTen of my past. I'd never known his name, and this upsets me until today. I would like to find him and know how he's going.

They’re great for each other. Tenten is the only one who will challenge Sasuke’s mindset and force him to confront the things he’s been avoiding. Tenten genuinely enjoys spending time with him and loves the thrill and challenge that comes with being with him.

They’re terrible for each other. Sasuke uses her as a form of punishment, weakly protesting her accusations and knowing that she doesn’t truly love him. Tenten doesn’t grow from their relationship and uses the distraction to push everything away.

Also I kind of read them both as on the asexual spectrum. Tenten will do it, but more in a tab goes into slot kind of way. She can get into it, but only if she’s really feeling it. It’s more for the power dynamics and the thrill. Sasuke is actively uninterested but will do it to make Sakura happy and to produce a clan heir. He’d do it for Tenten later if she asked, but I envision things more as power plays and extremely sexually charged fighting than actual sex.

But yeah. I need more of them :)

ive talked to death about sasuten so I wont rehash all of it here. you can pop into the tag on my blog if u want even more about them but long story short i love these two so much they are SO bad for each other.

they're having weird sex, they're antagonizing each other, she's driving him to violence, he's making her process her grief in a weird way. sasuke is just a chewtoy to tenten, meanwhile she's just relieved that tenten doesn't love them at all.
