An artist for @AmericanTattooVista on Hanes Place in Vista, California since 2005, Sarah Spinks isn’t afraid to work on a much larger scale when the opportunity arises. As one of the city’s Art Commissioners Spinks not only sees public art from different perspectives but she knows all about the symbols of the city, and included many of them in this mural for the 2015 Annual Alley Art Festival. At Crozier’s Flowers on Hanes and Main St, Spinks created this colorful composition incorporating the alley cat representing the parade which kicks off the annual festival along with the city bird—Anna’s Hummingbird—and local flowers. @sarahsspinks @croziersflowers Â
