The US is in freefall. Lots of people are going to be harmed and/or killed, and the Trump administration doesn’t seem to care about anything but big businesses. We are seeing some faint glimmers of hope, but that’s a credit to our healthcare workers who have been tireless and self-sacrificing in the face of this garbage. Some credit also goes to certain state governors who’ve had to step up in the absence of any real leadership from the President and his team.Â
We’ve not hit our peak yet and we’ve outstripped everyone else in terms of deaths.Â
I know this will sound horrible, but I really just need to forget about the state of things for one night. It’s been several weeks of misery and ash, and so if you see me goofing off tonight, it’s because I’m dealing with this through escapism.Â
