Jim practically purred, considering all the DELICIOUS things he could do with Sherlock were he in such a predicament. He was no stranger to the TENSION that often formed when he and Sherlock were face to face, especially when the two of them were so TANTALIZINGLY close to eachother. The criminal relished in it, even more so when it provoked such a reaction from the detective, he couldn't resist pushing just a LITTLE more to see what else he could get. As unlikely as FULL satisfaction might be, he would take his chances.

Lithe fingers remained curled around the tie and a small PLAYFUL smirk spread across his face, dark amused eyes looking up at the other intently, watching for reactions just as much as he admiring the VIEW. -- That lasted all of a few moments before the criminal grew bored, he wanted more. Leaning in closer as though to whisper a secret into the detective's ear, he let his breath ghost over his throat before finally speaking in a voice almost too gentle to be coming from someone like him.

          ❝-- Have I got you so DISTRACTED that you've not           considered pulling away? Or is it so INTERESTING           that you don’t want to, hm?❞

     “Noooo,” Blaine whined, quite childishly, oblivious to the fact that the intense swaying of the world around him was due to his lanky mount being off-balance, rather than his own drunkenness. Finally managing to get his legs around Sherlock’s waist, he squeezed, dragging himself up further. 

But apparently, she had something to offer now.

Sherlock Holmes himself had found her contact information and requested they meet. He said she may have something of use to him, but those were all the details he was willing to give at the time. They were to meet at a specific bench by the Thames-- an inconspicuous location for their conversation. Lacey wore a pair of red pumps as a quiet signal that she was who she said she was. She arrived first, and waited by the river.

The consulting detective needed no signal of identity. His face was all over the news. So when Lacey saw him approach, she simply turned and looked down to her watch. “You’re the type to keep a girl waiting, I see,” Lacey replied, tone cool despite the energy in her stomach. This wasn’t some joke. He was here.

Back in the days when he was in charge of the medical tent and had a good cut on his right thigh, he trusted only himself to clean his own wound and stitch it up. That, and frankly there was never enough doctors to go around. It wasn’t difficult anyway, as long as it didn’t involve sedation or the head.

        “I wish they didn’t aim for the head.”

my opinion on;

character in general: I fucking adore Sherlock Holmes. I really love his character development & the complexity of his character. I think he’s an absolutely genius creation & BBC’S Sherlock brings new life to a well-loved character. Jim is just the best tbh. I’ve loved him from the moment he hit the screen & the dynamic between him & Sherlock is spot on. Andrew gives him so much depth. 

how they play them: So well. Honestly. To both of these. The portrayal is spot on.
