Cas has been alone down there ever since his people all went to sleep long, long ago, with him as the last of the Great Creatures of the Deep. He's used to living in rot and decay and absolute darkness. But now he's very curious about new little glowing thing making its way down into his territory, and thinks it might be interesting to learn more. In which Cas is just trying to explore these cute little creatures and accidentally makes a marine research vessel descend into terror and paranoia. Also one of them is particularly cute and he wants to keep him.
