Before & After - Allen Edmonds • Client brought in his Allen Edmonds for a full restore, new Dainite Soles British made, and strip and polish. • I stripped about 8 - 10 layers of polish and wax of his shoes. • Most people just keep waxing the shoes, so after time they don't hold a shine, can't breathe properly, and they start holding moisture between the layers of wax. • (I found hard layers of water deposits and salt on the base of the shoe, heddin with layers of wax). • All shoes should be stripped every couple of years. • I like to do it to mine every year, because I get mine shined more often. • Leather is a skin, and like a human skin that needs to be exfoliate or exfoliated - cleaning of the skin. • New coat of Saphir Renovatour, Saphir MDO creme and Saphir MDO wax. • Now he's ready for another few years before his next cleaning.
