𝐢  𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐥  𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲  𝐟𝐨𝐫  𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐞𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐧𝐞 . . .   because  even  when  she’s  back  with  the  living,  people  are  afraid  of  her  because  of  where  she’s  been.  and  even  when  she’s  with  her  mother,  𝙨𝙝𝙚’𝙨  𝙣𝙤𝙩  𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮  𝙝𝙖𝙥𝙥𝙮   -   because  she  knows  she’ll  have  to  go  back  underground.

Three paragraphs?  Damn ok.

So why Castor May is amazing?  We all know the answers as well as we know how to breathe, why we must eat, and how to blink (sorry to remind you) without thinking about it.  But I think what gets us the most about Castor, what’s so confusing and baffling about how amazing she is, is that it all comes from a sense of empathy and love for others that’s extremely lacking in what we see of modern day society.  Here’s the deal: social media especially paints a shitty world with nothing good in it.  And then Castor rolls up.  She cares about everyone and has time to talk to you individually, advice and compliments and genuine love.  You don’t expect it.  It’s so raw and real you may not even know what to do with it, but she gives it to you without asking for anything in return.

She also creates incredible stories.  Faultless is one of my favorite wips I’ve seen on this website and the content that Castor offers up is constantly fascinating and high quality.  Every chapter is exciting as fuck and makes me want to write individual reviews for the paragraphs within.  Where Kiera Lies looks just as exciting and is entirely different from Faultless, proving that ya girl can write more than one genre without batting an eye and like, who is she?  How?  I don’t know many I stick to my personal ‘what the fuck’ genre like a troll under a bridge.  

     You can always see the final hope and thoughts of the deathly ill written in their body: solemn peace or a hunger for salvation.

So in this line, Ramona is walking up a formerly occupied trail and seeing all the bodies of the dead who had fled to the mountains to try and survive the apocalypse, thinking the virus wouldn’t follow.  She’s considering the two ways you can tell the final thoughts of the deceased -- by if they were at peace with their fate, or reaching out for a savior even at the end.
