I saw this comment under GamerTurk's review of the Lycoris game's writing and I think it's a fair criticism. Eugeo (and to an extent Alice tbh) gradually lost screentime from Chapter 2 to 6 to leave room for Medina while the events focused on them lack creative writing and good characterizations, while the other SAO girls are just... there. We should expect a different kinds of reactions from Eugeo when Kirito admitted that he lied to him that he lost memories for over 2 years living with Eugeo or when Eugeo met Asuna and other Kirito's female friends from real world, instead of just Eugeo accepting it all without fanfare. I know he's a soft boy, but I know a part of him can be selfish and he admitted so, so while I know he'd still accept everything about Kirito I imagined it would be done differently.
Or when Alice and Asuna had a long catfight over Kirito (-_-) then suddenly stopped and made up abruptly. I can see why the commenter think it's just for fanservice.
It's a good thing they are trying to fix it with Lycoris manga adaptation, giving us more Eugeo's perspective and development, as well as how Alice S30 grows with him around. It's better than nothing.
