MEET MY SANTUGON FAMILY
The first few weeks of college was probably the most challenging days I faced socially. I badly missed my high school best friends and I was having a hard time fitting in my block. I started attending a training of Santugon around July and there, I found the people whom I was very comfortable to be with. Back then, the Freshmen Elections was coming up so the active 113 members were busy training for the campaign. I noticed a huge change in me when I started seeing my kapatids almost everyday. Every time I'm on the way home, I feel so light and happy. I'm even more motivated to study once I get home even though deep inside, my body's already tired. From then on, I knew my Santugon family is my source of strength and happiness in DLSU.
The Freshmen Elections brought me and my kapatids closer to each other. We got to bond with each other despite the never ending room-to-room and person-to-person campaigns. At the end of a tiring day, we make sure to look after each other. Now that the FE is over, I couldn't help missing all my kapatids. However, our batch government is starting already and I hope this will be a new avenue for us to bond and work together!
Quoting one of my favorite Bible verses again;
"For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope." Jeremiah 29:11
When I was at my loneliest state, He was still there for me and knew what He should do to lessen my sadness. God truly never leaves me. I will be forever grateful to Him because of that.
