One Kanji a Day
動詞の三種類、doushi no san shurui; 3 group of verbs
Note: In learning Japanese language, knowing which group a verb belongs to is extremely important (when to change the verb to -て形 or -た形 *sees picture below). There are 3 groups of verb named:
Group 1: anything ends with -ku, -gu, -mu, -nu, -u, -tsu, -bu, -ru (idk why some of the verbs ends with -ru ended up in G1 so there are no other ways except to memorize the G1 -ru verbs lol)
Group 2: any verb that ends with -ru
Group 3: any verb with -suru and kuru ONLY (the easiest to memorize)
*I’m referring to the verb in 辞書形、jishokei; dictionary form.
I knew a lot of my Chinese and Korean friends that learned the three different group in a different way and name (一段動詞 icihidan doushi 、二段動詞 nidan doushi 、五段動詞 godan doushi etc) but I learn Japanese using the ‘group’ way and I think this method is easier to us who are not used in using kanji.
