* yes, i agree! chara isn’t perfect or entirely good! but they aren’t evil, a villain, or a murderer. they’re a fucking child.

* chara never abused asriel. yes, they roughhoused, but all siblings do that. even me and papyrus did that! chara loved their family more than life itself, and they would do anything to protect their family. they were mean at times, but they were just traumatized. they didn’t actually mean harm.

* the “conspired to murder six people” thing. they wanted to free their monsters. their friends. their family. they didn’t know how. of course they wouldn’t know how, why would toriel and asgore put that burden on them, a literal child? they were 8 when they fell into the underground. 8. and not to mention that they weren’t conscious when they were dead until frisk, until you.

* chara had nothing to do with the genocide run until the very end. they shut down because of it, that’s why they talked so slowly. they saw everyone they fought to protect die in brutal ways. you’d become pretty pissed and cynical too. you’d be pretty pissed and cynical towards humanity if all humans you know showed you endless abuse and pain. us monsters were the only ones who loved them. you’d hate humanity too if that were the case.

* the genocide run is there to teach you that your actions have consequences, even for what is just a game to you.
