Sorom didn't mean to show up late. She knew how difficult it must have been for them to get a reservation on the most romantic holiday of the year and there she was running in carrying her gift twenty minutes later than their arranged meet up time.
"I'm sorry! I'm so sorry! I had a client that wouldn't stop wanting their dress fixed, time got away, and then I couldn't get a cab in time." She leaned down where they were sitting to kiss their cheek, smiling, still happy even though her guilt was weighing her down. Sorom placed their gift, appropriately wrapped with a cute, pink bow on top, on the table in front of them. "I hope this makes up for being late. But you have me for the rest of the weekend!"
