unstoppable force (my want of long, sharp fingernails to pierce skin) vs immovable object (nail biting habit)
Is Death to a Sanguine
What God is to a mortal?
The undead experience remains the other side of the same coin of the living. As different as our begginings are, the roads are intertwined to the point they might reach the same ending. Yet, every ending is a new beginning, like it or not.
Lucky are the creatures that take their grief to the grave. What truly separates us is the ability to disappear. Once they've died, their grief is gone too. I didn't die when I should have. My grief will forever stay with me, consuming my humanity away.

Eternity feels like a second. But it is never eternal - meant to fade as the veil I wear separates us. Beauty fades, and that's what it makes it so beautiful. Depraved is the mind unaware of it's enrichment. The soul crushing feeling of something slipping through your fingers and disappearing in the void brings awareness of the beauty that was.
My greed, my selfishness, it must cease to exist. It has no business decomposing the allure that nourishies my hopeless excuse for a life.
Is the price I pay for indulging in the mortals' pleasures the fact that I will see the end of everything I've known, forever yearning, but never satisfied, burdened with hunger neverending?
as an undead creature, are you able to love?
I must say - love sure is a complicated thing...
It means a lot of different things to a lot of different beings. I believe that if you haven't known love in your life, you might not be able to know it after it. Yet, what is it? Do we confuse it with plain craving and lust? Or is that also a part of loving the other?
Surely, it is a good reminder of our (im)mortality, the permanence or non permanence of emotions and of people we associate with it throughout the Time.
It keeps me in touch with the human reality.
Always outside, looking in.
Always close enough to be excluded.
Always in the shadow of your light.
