Monday, February 13,2023 is a day that my family & I will not forget. 11 years of life, 4 years combating diabetes & old age. My parents made the tough decision to have Sandy put to rest & cross the Rainbow Bridge at Brunswick Veterinary Hospital Monday afternoon. Sandy was having difficulty standing on her own,her sugar levels had gone from being real high to real low, & was also battling other health issues. It reached a point where she knew she had reached the end of her days. She gave it a fight, and she loved us with all her might until the rightly end. She was a special dog to us & our other animals & she is hugely missed. We loved her very much & her passing has hit us hard. Valentine’s Day, Dad laid Sandy to rest in our yard, surrounded with the things she loved while she was with us. This holiday is a double whammie with both her burial & with the passing anniversary of an uncle who moved on exactly 11 years ago. My holiday was spent a short time at work, running errands, getting the usual holiday self-care ice cream, visiting a friend who’s retiring this Friday, & mourning Sandy’s passing. Thank you Brunswick Veterinary Hospital for all the work you’ve done for the past four years for Sandy & for being present with my parents during that difficult moment. Thank you to the few friends who sent this single girl her Valentine’s Day greetings & gave their condolences. Please respect our privacy & thank you, Sandy, for what you brought to us in your lifetime. We love you and miss you girl.
