Skywing Headcanons

skywings tend to have a better immunity to fire, with it being so built into their system.

With fire scales existing, and Peril having to eat "black rocks" (probably coal) sometimes, the coal just fuels the fire inside/outside and on the Firecsales. while yes, fire scales were born burning, they can eat the coal to make their scales hotter, therefore increasing it to a point it could surpass the abilities of a blood egg mudwing

Firecsales are immune to all fire and lava, so they could very well just have a hidden temple inside the volcano on the Nightwing island (just and idea)

Skywings use more ores than most other dragons, and therefore use a lot more jewelry or weapons that can be found adorned with random jewels

Seawing Headcanons

Seawings also use more jewelry than a lot of other dragons, but more of its aquamarine or pearls, and they usually buy lapis from the skywings to get an extra shade of blue

I had an idea of a genetic mutation seawings can have, like how Skywing twins can have one twin born with too much fire and the other with too little, but for seawings on can only breathe on land and the other can only breathe under water. this leads to either both or one dying before they are old enough to understand, and usually one dies before it's even opened it's eyes, either from hatching above water and being unable to breathe or viceversa. this can also affect single-hatched seawing eggs, but it's a lot less common.

seawing sails are the equivalent to the webbing on stuff like frogs and fish, so it can be easily pierced. most seawings take advantage of this by getting piercings along the sail and/or tail fin. can also work with the wing, but that's for everybtribe

seawings tend to get their partners scale patter tattooed onto a surface of their body that is blank, think the flank of their leg or shoulders/arms

for my design, seawings have little glowing things that protrude from the points of their sails, like an angler fish. I don't usually draw seawings with the little chin thingies, though when I do they also glow.

Sea/Sky hybrid Headcanons

Hybrids between these tribes aren't uncommon, as the Skywings and Seawings have their lapis trade

these hybrids have a higher chance to get the fire scales or seawing breathing mutation, even if they aren't a pair of twins.

Skywings usually hold the dominant trait, so for a sea/sky hybrid to be born with a seawing dominant trait is uncommon, but not impossible.
