◤ There was nothing like the stillness and peacefulness at 4am. The fanalis had another nightmare, which happened periodically. He knew that he wasn’t going to be able to sleep again for awhile, maybe not at all. So Masrur got up and went to the kitchen. He made himself some tea, and poured the herbal medicine that was supposed to help with his night terrors.
Since it was so early, he didn’t bother to put on his armor. He just stayed in his underclothes. He did however, put on his bracelets just in case he bumped into a servant or someone else up at the hour. He was sitting alone at a table, sipping on the tea when he heard footsteps. There were to many to be a guard, and sure enough it seemed like the Heliophat king had come a few days earlier to the meeting. He knew that smell even before the man walked into the room. Masrur fidgets in his seat. Out of all the people it had to be the Heliophat king. He was just getting over a nightmare, and this was not helping. But, it was to late to escape. They were about to turn the corner. ◢
