The number one rule, the only rule really, was to stay in the fort. Or, the one where Tatty becomes a pilot because of some extraordinary circumstances. And then she meets Sandra.

Buck's letter to Marge looked so innocent, but decidedly it was not. Before replacing the note — and the ones that followed — in its rightful place, John devoured the contents: suggestions, instructions, commands. Each was more daring, more intricate and more arousing than the last; and he followed them all to the letter. John discovers that submission is an art, and there's something oddly freeing about doing Buck's bidding, especially when it feels so very, very good.
