Dear Destiel Haters, pt.1
Ahem, I really didn’t want to reply to this because unlike you people I don’t have time to write hate comments.
But I think if I stay silent, y’all will think I am stupid enough to overlook all the mistakes and ironies in your replies. I don’t want my Tumblr blog to be represented that way.
I will start off by saying I respect your own opinions of believing Dean is straight. I think everyone can have different interpretations of a fictional character in a TV show. But just because my interpretation is different from yours doesn’t mean you have to hate it.
First, dear @ross-faer and @samisadeangirl , I will direct you to the news on Guardian (which is an OFFICIAL UK news website that you can trust) which reported that 96% of the Magic Mike Audience was female.
https://www.theguardian.com/film/2015/jul/06/magic-mike-xxl-attracts-women-scares-men-box-office
And don’t get me wrong, straight men could also watch Magic Mike. It’s just that very few of them did. And @ross-faer you are absolutely right that when someone who hasn’t seen Magic Mike cannot know that it’s a male stripper movie. You actually aided me in proving MY point better.
Dean has always shown a lot of interest in TV shows, such as enjoying Dr. Sexy to the point of being a big fan of the show.
And when the girl said “show me some skin”, he related that comment to Magic Mike movie instantly. Which meant that he WATCHED the movie to KNOW it was related to stripping.
Also, I think what you meant to say in your post was “Especially someone who doesn’t watch TV”. Because if I understand correctly, you are assuming Dean doesn’t actually know what Magic Mike is about.
If you actually wrote that sentence right, then I think someone who watches TV a lot would get the reference to Magic Mike right away.
Either way, you could have at least gotten your argument across if you got your sentences right. Yikes.
And EXCUSE ME? Who the fuck are you calling a walnut? Only because you are the rudest responses I saw, I think it’s only fitting to answer the same way. Didn’t you learn any fucking manners?Â
And you are the one who’s being an extremist and translating “men being comfortable with sexuality” to “toxic masculinity.” (btw, you can’t even spell the word right... You don’t use big words that often, don’t ya?)Â
And please read my original post properly before hating on it. I didn’t tag “Dean’s uncomfortable with your sexuality”. No, I think he’s very confident. But he doesn’t hate on homosexuals either. I wanted to bring that out and say everyone should feel comfortable with their sexuality or preferences. Even if a straight man is watching Magic Mike and enjoys it, he shouldn’t be shamed by other people about it.Â
So you’re the one whose thought-process is from the fucking last century.Â
