Honestly, at this point, I'm convinced that romance authors just use the same characters but with different names because, like, what do you mean Dain Aetos is not Tamlin? The only difference is the hair length.

Both of them are overprotective for literally no reason except entitlement.

Both of them were loved by the MC first, only to be left for some dark, hot, brooding guy instead (much better in my opinion).

And don't even get me started on Rhysand and Xaden. Both have dark hair, tanned skin, are extremely hot, seem dangerous at first, but are nothing but absolute sweethearts to the MC later on. Also, both of them have shadow powers or something like that?! Did I mention that both of them are hot? Really hot.

At this point, we're only reading the same romance between the same characters with different lore.
