This time last year, I was ordering a microphone, watching YouTube tutorials about how to use audacity, and recording the first chapter of sweater weather 3 times before it was ok (and ended up re-doing is again before posting). I had no idea what I was getting in to!
But I am so glad I jumped in with both feet!
Now I have 15 podfics posted about about 29 hours of audio done … I don’t want to do the math on how many hours of editing that is … it’s a lot.
It’s been such a cool experience to contribute to this fandom in this way. To everyone who has voiced a character, given kudos or comments, or listened, I appreciate you so much! And I’m so thankful to the authors who have let me engage with their work 💗 It’s hard to image that I’ll get in 30 hours again this year, but who knows! In theory I should’ve gotten better at editing by now.
