Today in reasons I'm glad Shadow Weaver is dead and didn't deserve redemption:

This entire scene in Failsafe made me so... angry. There was reason to grab Catra like that. No reason whatsoever to fully restrain and drag her back. Touch and control are two of Catra's biggest Things, both because of Shadow Weaver - because she didn't have any control over her own life, because touch was used as a tool for manipulation.

"But she had to make Catra be quiet or they would've been caught."

Okay, hear me out - what if Shadow Weaver just told her to be quiet? Or, probably better, let someone else grab Catra? Shadow Weaver knows damn well what effect she has on Catra, because she beat that into Catra (physically and metaphorically) for her entire life. And sure, Catra overcame some of it, fought Shadow Weaver and won, but it's not that easy. She still wanted Shadow Weaver's approval even after all of that. Shadow Weaver still had a strong hold on her. And Catra is clearly not over it even by season five - she didn't want to go on that mission. She didn't want to work with Shadow Weaver. She went to protect Adora, because Adora was bound to do something stupid if Shadow Weaver just said jump.
