Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/4 cup diced onion. 1/4 cup diced bell pepper. 1/4 cup crushed tortilla chips. 1/4 cup shredded cheddar cheese. 1/4 cup salsa. 1 tsp cumin. 1 tsp chili powder. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, avocado, sour cream.
Instructions: Crush tortilla chips, shred cheddar cheese, salsa, cumin, chili powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add the ground beef and mix it all together. Make 4 patties out of the mixture. Set the grill or pan on medium heat to get it ready. Patties should be cooked for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. Grill or pan-saute hamburger buns for one to two minutes, until they get a little brown. Place burger patties on toasted buns and add toppings like lettuce, tomato, avocado, and sour cream if you want.
