As the namesuggests Botis was one of my ‘Lesser Key of Solomon’ demon design that Idid a number of years ago when I was big into demonology. The info based in theLesser Key:

‘In demonology, Botis isa Great President and Earl of Hell,commanding sixty legions of demons. Hetells of all things past and future, and reconciles friends and foes.

He is depicted as an ugly viper,but when he changes shape, he puts himself in human shape, with big teeth andtwo horns. When in human shape he carries a sharp and bright sword in hishand.’

Botis’s design wascreated mainly for a design challenge to help improve my art. Since I reallylike how he came out I decide to adopt him as an OC and try to develop him fora story (which unfortunately failed since the plot was shaky at best andtherefore was abandoned). 

The little bits ofinfo that’s still applicable to him are:

-The animal Botisis based on is the desert horned viper and his human ethnicity is Egyptian.

- Zodiac sign isTaurus

- He’s in his 30′s(I think I had him at 37? Idk) appearance wise.

- Height/length isabout 20ft (usually ‘stands’ at 6ft) and weight was about 400lbs?

- A trainedswordsman that uses a custom made khopesh sword. He has a large swordcollection.

- Was married twice(first wife disappeared and was legally declared dead and the second died fromsickness) and was currently dating another OC of mine (Kallistrate who he’llmarried later on in the story.)

-Botis’s first marriagewas a polyamorous type marriage. He was the ‘second husband’ to his wife andgot along quite well with the ‘first husband’. Considering how young Botis waswhen he married (18 in human years) he learned a lot about healthyrelationships that weren’t monogamous from the duo.  The second marriage was more of a whirlwind headover heels in love type when he was in his late twenties.

- Has 4 children from the previous marriages (An 18 year old daughter,twins (girl & boy) both 13 years old, and a youngest son at the age of 8.)

- His personality can be summed up as a great friend who’s mature butfun that you can rely on and trust. A lot of people come to him for advice on awide variety of stuff and generally can feel ‘safe’ around him. Also a loving ‘cool’and somewhat dorky dad that enjoys teasing his kids (beware of the dad jokeslol)

- Botis has issues with stairs, crowded areas, and small spaces due tohis size. If he can’t get by he’ll shapeshift into his viper form and hassomeone carry him through.

- He can’t swim and avoids deep waters. He’ll stay in shallow areas andwill only go as deep as to the waist when ‘standing’ at 6 feet in height.

- Botis rolls his ‘s’s  when hespeaks. Depending on how many ‘s’s there are some words he won’t pronounceproperly and will use other words with the same or similar meaning (sort ofhaving a lisp almost). As a result he has a large vocabulary to choose from.

- Favorite colors are tan and gold.

- Botis wasn’t attractive all hislife. He was granted his beauty from a high ranking demon which he did aspecial favor for. The demon said he could have anything so Botis chose a moreattractive humanoid figure to have. One of the reasons was to help in hisnegotiation job (of what I don’t remember) since he believed having a more eyepleasing visage would make people more likely to trust/listen to him. Hisanimal form is still ugly though.

- Being a Taurus baby Botis enjoys indulging in luxurious bath and skinproducts. Living in a desert tends to dry ones skin out after all and who wantsto cuddle rough skin and scales? (Big cuddler he is.)

- Botis is quite a romantic and sensual lover.

- When talking one-on-one Botis will mimic the other person’s height. Hedoes this mainly to avoid being intimating or challenging to the other person.And look people in the eye as a way to read them as well.

- Botis’s diet is primarily carnivore, though he does eat someplants/vegetables to help with digestion. His favorite things to eat are quaileggs and pheasant.

- Being a viper Botis is considered to be cold-blooded. He has to bevery careful when it comes to temperature or else it’ll be detrimental to hishealth. He hates the cold the most.

- Considering his length (20ft.) Botis actually has multiples of certainorgans (such as four hearts in various sizes).  

- Botis has quite an interest in fortune telling stuff such astarot cards, palm reading, crystal gazing etc. thanks to the predicting futuresand reading the past of others ability he has. He can’t see his own futurethough.

Tack

Full Name: Tack (He doesn’t like his Dream Creatorand refuses to use his last name. It’s Cummins if you’re curious about it.)

Gender andSexuality: Non binary but presents mostlyas male. Asexual (sex positive)/Panromantic 

Pronouns: Male and gender neutral pronouns (he/him& them/they)

Ethnicity/Species: Tack is classified as a dreambeing with corporal hybrid humanoid body for his species. The hybrid class ishuman based (Mummified/Emaciated male-like humanoid – 80%) andanimal based (Dog Breed: Staffordshire Bull Terrier- 20%). His dream class typeis ‘*Transitional Nightmare (neutral/nightmare)’ with the dream sub class typeof being an ‘Elusive & Sound Manipulator’.

For their real world human form hewould be an Ethiopid male of Sidama descent.

*Note: Transitionalis a dream term that means one type of dream shifting into another type. InTack’s case it was a neutral dream that was shifting into a nightmare for theDream Creator.

Birthplace andBirthdate: A glitchy abandoned circus/carnivalgrounds featured in a transitional nightmare was where he was created (alongwith his two full siblings Tic & Toe). It’s surrounded by an eerie forestand some badlands.

Tack has two birth dates thanks to beingcareless in the real world and having ‘died’ once already. Sept. 4th washis original birth day and Sept. 20th is his reincarnation date that serves as hiscurrent birth day. 

Guilty Pleasures: Tack absolutely lovesto be pampered with those super expensive and high quality spa products. Bubblebath, lotions, oils, perfumes, artisan soaps, you name it he love it to belavished in it. Also he enjoys it immensely when his favorite attractivefriends/exes helps out with that pampering too (especially moisturizing hisskin).

Phobias: Aichmophobia (the fearof sharp objects). In Tack’s case he fears weaponized blades (Ex.combat knivesand switch blades) the most from being killed by one. Kitchen knives can make him wary depending on theperson and how their using it. Needles are fine though. Plus has mild case of Ophthalmophobia(the fear of being stared at) that he’s slowly conquering.

Note: Not really aphobia but mirrors cause him to be uncomfortable. Tack does not like hisappearance and will avoid them if possible.

What They Would BeFamous For: Most likelyfor his voice and sound mimicry abilities in theater work. Tack has shown that histalent can be used for voice acting and music. He also does some stage work asan understudy and sound tech in shows. Sometimes in rare events he’ll ‘sing’ onhis own under a character guise in a show as well. He took on the theater workas a supplement job and to help with his ophthalmophobia and building his newlyfound social skills as advised.

What They Would GetArrested For: The likelyoffenses that he would be charged for would be: trespassing, bending/breakingthe travel rules to the real world, theft, stalking, blackmail, vandalism, andmurder (in self defense). The most likely ones to stick would be the travelrules and trespassing.

OC You Ship ThemWith: Lol Icasually ship Tack with his exes like in a ‘friends with benefits’ way. Yes hedid date some, but never quite worked out for different reasons and ended upbeing really good friends instead. He dated Zhenya (Concubus form of Evgeniyaand Yevgenity. Aka a succubus and an incubus who can merge together as onebeing.), Ronen (human theater player/dancer), Bernedette (blind alien seer),and Ila (humanoid familiar witch). Tack still loves them all differently and isromantically affectionate from time to time, but remains single for the timebeing. (Though out of all of them Ila would be the one to get together withTack again.)

With otherpeople’s OCs, it would be with your skip!Cain and Caym. Tack would haveentertained the idea of dating them since they’re his type. But ultimately he’ddecided to be friends due to insecurities and figuring they wouldn’t haveenough in common/too many obstacles to make it work out. Tack likes being a dearand somewhat affectionate friend with them more anyhow (plus they’re spoken forunless they want a poly relationship lol).

OC Most Likely ToMurder Them: Tack hasthree half-sisters from the Dream Creator’s ‘good’ dreams that would love tosee him dead for good. All of them hate and antagonize each other when it’spossible due to their dream statuses, resulting in bad blood between them. Notto mention Tack’s Dream Creator would love to ‘kill him off’ due to the typesof nightmares Tack inflicts on him.

Favorite Movie/BookGenre: He has lotsthat he likes but drama, poetry, and psychological horror/thrillers seem to beon the top of the list.

Least FavoriteMovie/Book Cliche: ‘Uglymonsters are automatically evil’ and ‘reinforcing negative stereotypes for badthings’

Talents and/orPowers: Tack hasdream abilities that include Sound Manipulation, Chameleon, Teleport,Voice/Sound Mimic, and passive abilities that affect the ‘fight, flight, andfreeze’ instincts along with detecting people who are prone to havingnightmares.

He also hasan excellent sense of balance and can do tight rope balancing acts without anyissue. And is unusually charismatic for a nightmare based being (Tack is themost socially acceptable one out of all the nightmare and night terror beingsin the family).

Why Someone MightLove Them: Tack isloyal, attentive, caring, trustworthy, and protective to the people he love andtrusts.

Why Someone MightHate Them: If it’s not Tack’spassive ability affecting their instincts, then it’s his clingy need forattention to certain people and envious jealously of others. Also has a heavyfixation on beauty that includes people and can come off as really creepy. Hekeeps all that in check but sometimes will slip up, especially when boundariesaren’t set when it comes to attention and fixation (a handover from his oldself).

How They Change: Getting murdered in thereal world and being granted a second chance can change one’s outlook andbehavior drastically. Not to mention when he was reincarnated he received morepositive traits and lost a couple of the more problematic ones by luck. As aresult Tack learned to be a ‘better’ and more likeable being than before. (Tackwas originally a selfish and almost malicious trickster who didn’t care toomuch about others.)

Why You LoveThem: He has a numberof my favorite design aspects, is one of my better fleshed out OCs that I’mhappy with, and fits with my liking of opposite/juxtaposes stuff with the whole‘creepy ugly monster that’s kind and like cute things’.

Amets

Full Name: Amets (Chose not to use the Dream creators’last name either. Felt like it didn’t suit their chosen name of Amets.)

Gender andSexuality: Agender. Asexual (sexneutral)/Aromantic  

Pronouns: Gender neutral pronouns (them/they)

Ethnicity/Species: Amets is classified as a dreambeing that’s an animated object humanoid. Their object class is costumed based(mask, veils, jewelry, and robes). Their dream class type is*‘Shifting Neutral (neutral/neutral)’ with the dream sub class type of being an‘Shapeshifer/Body Illusionist (Mummer)’

For their real world human form theywould be an androgynous Ethiopid person of Somalis descent.

Note: ShiftingNeutral means that Amets is classified as a neutral being, but theirpersonality is based on what dream energy they consume. Good dream energy willequal a more positive/likeable personality while nightmare energy will equal amore negative/bitter personality.

Birthplace andBirthdate: They were created by their self ina neutral based dream. The place was similar to those cabins in the forest thatone may stumble upon in a fairytale. The cabin itself was near a city placesimilar to Venice in the dream.  Amets’s birth date is Sept. 4th 

Guilty Pleasures: The ‘I told you so’ and‘being right when no one else was’ moments.

Phobias: A mild case ofPyrophobia (the fear of fire). Amets is fine with small controlled fires suchas candles up to a cooking fire in a hearth. Larger fires like bonfires willhave a negative effect on Amets (Considering that they’re an object class,they’re more likely to be flammable than a corporal body would be. So it’s aself-preservation instinct than anything).

What They Would BeFamous For: Either fortheir plants or the compounds (like medicine or poisons) they can make from theplants. And being great at humanoid shapeshifting in order to go to the realcould be another one.

What They Would GetArrested For: The likelyoffenses that they would be charged for are: possession of illegal plants, possessionand manufacturing of illegal substances (poisons mostly), trespassing, utteringthreats of bodily harm, theft, and murder. The most likely one to stick out ofthose would be the illegal plants.

OC You Ship ThemWith: I don’t shipAmets with anyone in a romantic or sexual way. They have no interest in thatand prefer platonic relationships more (though Tack’s boss has a totally hugecrush on them and would love to date them). With that said, broships include Lolli,Pop, Tic, and Tack for family and Ila for best friend.

OC Most Likely ToMurder Them: No onereally. Well maybe that one unnamed as of yet nightmare/terror half-siblingthat was poisoned to keep them in line might make an attempt for revenge.(Though he deserved it since he was aiming to harm Tack for fun… Piece of shit thathalf-sibling is.)

Favorite Movie/BookGenre: It usuallydepends on what mood status they are in. The most consist ones are docudrama(documentary drama), docufiction (fictional documentary), and nonfictiondocumentaries. (In other words they like documentaries).

Talents and/orPowers: Amets hasdream abilities that include Shapeshift/Body Illusion, Mind Possession,Telekinesis, Dead Puppetry, and Teleportation.

Also Ametsis a fabulous cook when it comes to healthy and hearty meals from naturalingredients, despite the fact they can only eat dream energy due to lack of aproper digestive system. They get their cooking practise from feeding the otherhalf-siblings they get along with and friends when they drop in for a visit.

Why Someone MightLove Them: Amets couldeasily be considered an ideal paternal figure with their wisdom, advice giving,trustworthiness, level headed, calm, and protectiveness of the ones they love.

Why Someone MightHate Them: Amets can unpredictablycome off as cold, distant, stubborn, and not to mention intimidating with theirappearance depending on their mood status. Amets is also acts a littleoverprotective with good reason.

How They Change: Having Tack died undertheir watch in the real world was probably the biggest change for Amets. Eventhough Tack was originally a little shit in the worse way, Amets feltresponsible even though there wasn’t anything different that could have beendone to avoid it. After Tack’s reincarnation Amets became a betterguardian/parental figure to him. And as a result learned how to compromise, setdoable boundaries (they were incredibly strict before), became less cold,overbearing, and standoffish. They’ve grown close and now have a betterrelationship with Tack and with some of the other half-siblings as well.
