The installation as soon as you come into the London Showroom - presenting the Homeware Collection.

There’s a whole set-up for the AW19 Homeware Collection mixed with some SS19 pieces. The Homeware Collections are bestsellers for Preen, always presented with the prints used in the Mainline Collection. 

Today I woke up at 5AM to get to London at 7AM. With a full black outfit, we made sure to check the last bits for the showroom. While the other interns were told to do the dressing of the models, I was told to float - which means to float through the showroom room, whenever a clients picks some of the pieces they want to see on a model, I would bring them into the backroom where some of the design interns would dress them for the clients. Also, I would be in the kitchen where we have to prepare tea or coffee for the clients.

While we had over seven clients on that day, it was helpful to do my first showroom with other interns together. It was overwhelming for me, but I enjoyed every second. I never knew what a showroom is or what happens after a Fashion Show. So it was an interesting experience.

While working that day, I knew what will wait for me in Paris. After the last client, we immediately had to pack everything together and put into the van again. It was a quick task because we were over seven interns.

My first day was quite hectic. As soon as I came into office I was given the task to wrap the AW19 Collection into plastic wrap. Not only the collection, but suitcases, poles, and many many boxes were transported into a van.

Tomorrow we will have the first showroom in London, I came right after the day of their Show for London Fashion Week.

As soon as we finished packing, we went to central London to ICA where the showroom will take place. The whole afternoon we packed everything out, decorated the showroom, steamed the clothing and made sure that all hangers were new and without any flaws.

While finishing everything, I made sure to take some images of the merchandise and the showroom. I haven’t thought that my internship would be that hectic, but I understand that I am coming during a stressful time.
