Called the Salawa, the latest sighting of the beast happened in October of 2009 when a 7-year-old boy was attacked by the creature. The boy’s mother described the creature as not a dog or a wolf. Some believe the creature to be Set, a pet of the God Seth.

Environment: Deserts and other hot places.
In Mythika: The Salawa were created by the God Set and now spy, kill and deceive for the God of Chaos, Deserts, Sand, Darkness and Dark Beasts. While Set isn’t a boss-fight in Mythika, he still has his parts to play in the plot. You have two types of Salawa in Mythika.
1: Common Salawa or Sha, these haven’t fully proved themselves to Set yet so they aren’t blessed by him. They have dangerous bite attacks which scramble the minds of their victims and make them lose their ways, others are plagued by a magical version of rabies.
2: Set’s Guardians or Set Beasts are enhanced Salawa that succeeded in killing a hated target or giving Set precious information. These Salawa are covered in blue shining tattoos and relics and their tail is split into two parts at the end, both tips having knife-like weapons on it. The madness and rabies they spread with their bite are enhanced as well and they can summon minor dust devils, sandstorms and call forth unnatural darkness while indoors. They can also control other evil beasts in the name of Set, and make them do what they desire. When a Set’s Guardian dies it will release a terrible sandstorm on the location it has died, the memories of the killed Set Guardian will be shared among the remaining living Set Guardians so the information will never get lost.
