HEADCANON 001.  LOCATION, OCCUPATION, LOYALTIES.
LOCATION.  ---  THE TOWN OF DURS,  located within one of the central islands of the archipelago that constitutes the whole of Ionia, is home to a long - established set of families that has seen their ranks gradually expand as fast as the townâs boundaries have crept across their vast namesake plains. While the lack of industrialization helps distinguish Durs from other Ionian regions undergoing urbanization with Piltover as a role model, the town itself is a crucial convergence of the many trade routes that run through Ionia. These intersecting roads have provided the locale of Durs a flourishing economy, an unequivocal ceasefire throughout the territory, and perhaps the most curious of them all, a burgeoning entertainment industry that attracts both performers and dangerous travelers alike.
OCCUPATION.  ---  TOWN SECRETARY,  a role ordained upon her sometime after her arrival into the once simple village, bestowed by an elderly mayor that saw in this refugee mother an unmatched level of observation, a mind sharper than steel, and an even stronger desperation to raise her teenage son in a region that the rumored Noxian invasion would not think to make inroads into. The city-wide upkeep, day-to-day operations and resolution of conflicts in Durs are her shared responsibility to address with the current mayor, though she is often afforded the ability to fulfill her responsibilities by completing paperwork within the safety and sanctity of the Durs Town Hall, as well as gracefully attending to any travelling merchants, potential citizens or other individuals that necessitate the involvement of the local government, and thus pay a visit to the Town Hall that she commands with kindness, respect and precision.
LOYALTIES.  ---  DURSIAN && VASTAYAN,  a present day life that has spared her from sacrificing the past or who she is, and an opportunity to showcase the best of both her worlds. The curious are free to inquire about her tribeâs history and her dutifulness to uphold the traditions of the Vastaya, while the wise refrain from questions pertaining to her continued solidarity with her people; after all, the secretary mother is known for her hospitality and sympathy for the lost and weary, and often a quiet evening will find a member of the Vastayan race at her door, perhaps there to seek counsel, courage, or a chance to make a new life for themselves.
HOWEVER,  she does not / will not / cannot betray the town she has watched grow for a decade and a half. These Ionians that live upon the plains of Durs are her people first and foremost; their struggles are her struggles, their concerns soon to be hers, and their little victories the source of her peaceful smiles she wears wherever she goes. Though she serves the town as a decorous civil servant, the secretary mother will employ any methods to preserve the stability of her town, and keeps her actions out of sight of the current inexperienced, unreasonably optimistic and lucky mayor of Durs. Be it through brokering uneasy peace between parties via thinly veiled blackmail and threats or the sometimes occasional contracting of assassins and mercenaries to dispatch threats long before their names ever reach the ears of the mayor, no stone will be left unturned in the constant mission to maintain the peace of the town she loves dearly.
