q had a hand on the child’s shoulder as she led them over to the infirmary. “now do you see why i told you not to go so fast?” she said, looking down at them with a raised brow. a small pout appeared on the little face before the child nods, mumbling an apology. she sighed, pausing right outside of the infirmary to squat down to their height.  “it’s okay. i just didn’t want you to get hurt. you promise you won’t do that again?” a nod. “and you’ll listen to me the next time we’re out there?” another nod. q stared at the child for a few moments before letting her lips spread into a wide grin, getting the little one to smile back. “okay, good,” she said, ruffling their hair. “now let’s get you patched up.” they walked inside, q’s brow raising at the unfamiliar person seated at the desk. “hi, uh... the little one here got a little banged up on the slopes,” she explains. “just wanted to make sure everything’s all good before i bring ‘em back to the parents.”
