more SaiToriKai crackship stuff…. but its turning TOO REAL also playing around with Saiki’s telepathy with people with loud thoughts (Tori and Kaido in this case!)
Since Saiki’s one goal in life is to be a normal every day boy that you can hardly remember, he tries his best not to let his psychic abilities bother him that much at all. It’s a subconscious thing where he tries his best not to think about them being different or annoying in piblic, as to not react to them. It becomes kind of exhausting to pretend like they’re not there in public though, especially when around annoying classmates like the overly excitable Hairo or Teruhashi, the perfect pretty girl, even Aiura gets loud to be around, especially Akechi. Saiki always gets affected in one way or another with all of them. Thoughts of those like a dreamer like Chiyo who thinks her life is a movie can be confusing. His classmates can even pull at his heart strings a little or make him feel genuine frustration like Mera with her poor family or Saiko with his horribly ignorant attitude. Kuboyasu, Nendo and Akechi make him him feel slightly intimidated in their own ways too. Everyone’s a little loud in their own thoughts, even people like Satou or Suzumiya are. He’s never blaimed people for being loud of course, they just get on his nerves.
There are 2 people in his life specifically that are the loudest in terms of the amount of thoughts and how extreme they are though. And he selfishly blames both of them at times. Those two are Toritsuka Reita the schools infamous pervert, and Kaido Shun, maybe the most imaginative person anyones ever met.
Not to say Troitsuka doesn’t have a big imagination, because he absolutely does. Kaido is just less focused on such a needless thing like sex and the female human body, much more of his time is spent thinking of fantasy powers, cool worlds to put his characters in, and the needlessly complicated character itself.
Needless. Both of those boys have such needles thoughts full of unrealistic human desires. One is dreaming daily of having his own gross harem while the other is dreaming about being some cursed supernatural force who can’t decide if he’s the hero or the villain. Saiki can’t decide what’s worse to listen to: a gullible boy making due with his imagination and the want to create overly, to the point of directing his life to his own delusional fantasy, or a perverted Buddhist, thinking about harems, unreasonably sized proportions on women and other gross delusions? He definitely knows the much less moral of the two.
But can the sin of lust and the sin of envy go so hand in hand that both drive Saiki into exhaustion because of all the desire? The desire to be like everyone else but at the same time better than everyone else, and the desire to indulge in earthly pleasures despite knowing it’s wrong? They both need social cues and are growing them day by day, and despite all the overwhelming desires of the two, it’s almost amusing to see them mess up in public and try to fix their wrong in their different ways.
Kaido’s much softer than Toritsuka, a fumbling flushed faced mess when he makes a mistake: always tripping on himself and eager to right his wrong for the sake of the others involved. Saiki almost feels bad for him sometimes, the kind of bad one feels when they see a upset puppy, sad because something trivial that they often caused, like dropping a chew toy out of reach.
Toritsuka on the other hand, is not as soft or gullible as Kaido. Where Kaido is the tricked, Toritsuka is the tricker. He only tries to right wrongs because his own image. He’s rather careless with other boys because they don’t hold any of his earthly desires, but with girls, he’s whatever they want him to be, shaping himself to their one dimensional often limited wants and needs to get his own gain from anyone he can. Toritsuka is frustrating yet somehow sometimes endearing. He’s like a puppy too, but instead he is a stupid, overly eager puppy with a shifty look in those innocent eyes, like something’s always up his sleeve. The kind of frustration and disappointment that fills you when you come home to your dog having chewed up something of yours.
With both Kaido and Toritsukas tails wagging eagerly behind them as they follow Saiki around, their minds fill his thoughts completely and exhaust him Toritsuka toys with him in his thoughts while Kaido takes him on an unwilling journey through the eyes of the jet black wings. Saiki either feels like he’s reading a horrible fantasy novel, or an equally horrible erotica. Saiki leans his head back and takes a soft sigh to himself whenever there’s a pop quiz and Kaido’s brain won’t shut up. He feels like he’s waiting for a movie to end that he didn’t even sign up for. It’s even worse when Kaido gets an idea while walking home with Saiki and Nendo, his brain rattling on and on with crazy plot lines and dramatic powers. Saiki’s body slouches a little in exhaustion while Nendo goes on about ramen or some other stupid thing, and god forbid he notice his best buddy’s posture change, or else he’ll insistantly call out “Buddy? Buddy are you ok? Buddy? Did you hear me?” because somehow he always knows.
Even worse? Saiki can’t be mad at such a pathetically almost cute boy. Kaido’s the loser, sure, but that doesn’t mean he’s disliked by everyone. But besides that, he can’t be mad at anyone for thinking their own thoughts in their own minds anyways. He’s the one intruding. Being around Toritsuka a little too much, Saiki almost catches himself thinking ‘stupid chihuahua’ Saiki just gets almost softer and his mind becomes more tired and dull, almost bored. He leans his head back, just waiting for that movie Kaido’s putting on to stop.
But for Toritsuka? Saiki can and will get mad at. He’s a pervert who goes as far as to rub himself up on unsuspecting girls and makes people all around him uncomfortable. And he’s a psychic like Saiki, so all his purposeful toying deserves frustration and anger. He knows that if anyone else knew of Saiki’s powers that wasn’t Toritsuka, Aiura, or Akechi who have all had their own issues and have had to basically deal with this curse too, they’d feel guilty for all their thoughts and try to quiet their minds around him. But Toritsuka purposefully makes his brain louder, especially when Saiki’s annoyed him. Tortisuka’s like a dog yapping for attention, and Saiki’s just the one who has to deal with him, that’s all. So when Saiki makes a snarky remark back or glare’s at him, he knows that’s fine. Even when he doesn’t help Toritsuka out of his own trouble, that’s fine too. If Tortisuka wants to play like this, Saiki will gladly play like this with a immoral pervert like Toritsuka. Saiki lets out small noise of frustration without even noticing it, and Toritsuka finds amusment out of Saiki’s anger, which only makes Saiki more mad.
The thing is, when both Kaido and Toritsuka are around Saiki at the same time, they can either get a totally exhausted yet trying to stay frustrated Saiki when they’re thoughts are equally as loud, and Toritsuka tries so hard not to laugh which only makes it worse, while Kaido gets all worried, checking up on Saiki and making sure everything’s ok while in just slight awe.
or, if Toritsuka’s being the louder one, Toritsuka gets into a bit of a giggle fit at how angry and pouty Saiki looks while Kaido stares in complete awe at Saiki’s angry expression. I’m talking mouth gaped open in wonder, eyes wide, even his words get slightly breathless in thought. Stars in his fucking eyes trying to think up a story where Saiki takes out that anger on the evil Dark Reunion member Toritsuka Reita, but he’s just too awestruck at his best friend showing this much emotion. He’s like poud of Saiki in a way I think. (my proof)
But if Kaido’s being the louder one, Saiki becomes really fucking soft and exhausted, too exhausted to put up a fight so he just lets it all take him. I think Kaido’s loud thoughts are also about Saiki. A lot. (HE LITTERALLY SAID SAIKI CHANGED HIS LIFE IN THE LIGHT NOVEL I’M NOT LETTING ANYONE FORGET THIS!!!) so Saiki’s like. Kinda flustered and just a little bit bashful to listen to all these thoughts such a person like Kaido is having about Him. Toritsuka sees soft Saiki and is completely enamored, pissing him off in more subtle ways to not piss Kaido off, like poking his cheek, pushing himself up against him, really pushing the limits in a funny silly way with A lot on the line cough cough Saiki possibly killing him after. Ok but, I think Toritsuka also kinda freezes up the first few times he sees Saiki like that over another person and then when they all get more comfortable with it, Tortisuka teases both Saiki and Kaido about it I am giggling and kicking my feet.
ok that’s all!!! sorry if this was at all ooc! I think I’m going crazy :3
